Job Description
We are looking for a team-oriented, self-motivated expert in internet marketing to direct the overall growth and strategic direction of our online presence (both domestically & internationally). This strategic leader must be skilled in both website development and promotion, including the use of SEO and SEM. A thorough understanding of using analytics and user testing to drive traffic, leads, and a better user-experience.
The Head of Online/E-commerce is responsible for our online marketing budget, internet staff and outside internet vendors, as well as our in-house web developers and designers.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Direct the development, maintenance, and execution of our e-commerce business strategy
- Drive qualified traffic to the site through SEO, SEM, PPC, e-mail marketing, display advertising, and retargeting/remarketing
- Develop performance metrics and assess the effectiveness of our website. This position requires strong web testing and analytics knowledge
- Manage and mentor staff, establishing clear goals/expectations; evaluating performance and providing a learning environment
- Manage our design team to meet the needs of our corporate marketing projects, sales campaigns, and corporate product launches and product promotions
- Oversee photography, videos, site design, site enhancements, e-mail marketing, corporate blog, and support our social media properties
- Effectively issue strategic direction to agency partners
- Own the investment of internet marketing funds, including ROI analysis and year on year efficiency improvements
- Analyze user flow on our sites and landing pages to recommend and bring into effect changes to improve goal conversions, and user experience
- Build a sustainable and meaningful content generation and engagement strategy and execute strategic partnerships to acquire compelling content, features, and online tools to support our SEM goals
Requirements
- Must live in Dallas-Fort Worth area, or be willing to relocate
- Bachelor level degree (MBA / MA desired)
- Minimum 5+ years of e-commerce strategy and planning experience and 3+ years of management experience
- Expert in SEO
- Must have proven experience using social media, PPC, interactive websites, YouTube, Blogs, and Online Newsletters
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
- Proven success at a company where interactive/e-commerce was integral to corporate success
- Strong understanding of optimization techniques involving A-B and multivariate testing
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach and positive attitude
- Experience working with international sites/SEM a plus
- Experience in the software industry a plus
